Synopsis

A man, literally with no face wakes up. He blindly stumbles across the room to put on one of a selection of faces hanging there. A frowning man at the store takes his money. Everyone’s stares at him on the street, and his big grin goes away. He sees a girl smiling at him from the front of the bus and his smile grows back.

No one speaks in this short movie. They grunt and they emote, but no one speaks. The main guy is constantly and literally being pushed around all day.

He finally goes home, his frown locked-in from a bad day, and he hangs his face on the wall, with dozens of other sad and grouchy faces; he’s quickly using up the happy ones.

Commentary

Clearly, an international movie with no dialog, it’s interesting and absorbing without really having a story. Everyone wears a face to work each day, and often we come home with a different face. This guy is just a little less metaphorical about it.
