2026 Short Film: A Good Death

What Happens

Amalia is a “Death Doula,”someone who helps with terminal patients. She arrives at the house of a new client, and Tabitha, who answers the door, seems really eager to let her in. “There’s no such thing as unusual in this line of work,” she explains.

She could be wrong.

Commentary

The only thing creepier than monsters is seeing old people’s toenails.

Could it be elder abuse? Maybe, but not in the usual manner. I kinda figured this was the way the story was going to go, but it was well-executed, looked good, and even the special effects were fun.

Nice!
