Leprechaun Returns

Although this is the eight movie in the franchise, this one takes place immediately after the first movie, making it a sort of delayed sequel that ignores all the other movies.

This one involves a college-bound girl, Lila, who takes the bus to Devil’s Lake, where she and four other girls are planning to update and restore an abandoned house to be modern and energy-efficient. At the bus stop, she runs into Ozzie, who has stayed in town since his involvement in the original movie. He drives her to the same house, and he looks at the well where the supposedly-dead leprechaun fell at the end of the first movie. Something down there splashes him with green goo, and before you know it, there’s a leprechaun bursting out of his chest.

Hilarity ensues as the college girls and their boyfriends get picked off one-by-one. This one is quite a bit gorier than the first one, and is loaded with creative kills.
