Synopsis

A girl lays in bed and listens to someone chant “Nose nose nose lips!” There’s a scary man at the end of her bed. She screams, but it’s just a dream. The scary man was her father, and his eyes were all messed up.

She tells her mother, who is on the phone to her brother-in-law. She lies to him about being outside and at work. She’s clearly trying to get rid of him. The little girl wants to go in the other room to see her father, but the mother says to leave him alone. Daddy’s sick, and they got some insurance money, and the mother says the brother-in-law is after the money.

There’s a knock on the door, and they both jump. It’s the brother in law, and they get quiet and avoid him as he pounds.

A little later, the daughter goes in to visit her father, and it’s not quite what you would expect…

Commentary

Now this one is just all kinds of messed up. It’s awesome!

Jiwon Moon’s director statement:

“The idea for Nose Nose Nose EYES! came from an existing female criminal known as ‘Lady Uhm.’ Lady Uhm stabbed the eyes of her family and blinded them in order to get insurance money. Nose Nose Nose EYES! tries to picture the life of the young girl who has such a mother, and asks the audience the following questions. ‘What if your mother is a psychopath who harms your family to get insurance money?’ “What if you are a ten-year-old girl living under the absolute influence of such a mother?'”
