Synopsis

We begin with a woman, Julie, lying on the couch texting someone. She picks up a notebook and starts working on a screenplay, but she’s not getting anywhere. Her boyfriend texts her back about watching a horror movie together sometime, and she thinks that’s great. He asks if the screenplay is horror related, and she responds that it is. He says he can bring a movie over that will inspire her, and she agrees.

Her date finally arrives, and his name is Henry. He brings wine, and they drink to toast to her “inspiration.” She asks about his movie, and he brought along “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” They never do get around to watching the movie, instead they entertain themselves in other ways…

Commentary

This is a French film, with subtitles. At one point, while getting ready for her date, Julie gets out of the shower, smells her armpit, and makes a yucky-face. Huh? I can’t say much without spoilers, but the effects are good, the acting is good, the camera work is good, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you get a chance, take a few minutes to watch this short, it’s worth it.
