Synopsis
A guy falls asleep while watching a movie on his computer. He accidentally restarts the film. As the woman in the film checks her doors and windows, the man notices his own door is open. More and more, he starts to feel like he’s not alone in his own home. He’s not.
Later, Jack is picking up some kind of unusual sound in his audio recording equipment. Jack does some sound editing magic, and it sounds like heavy breathing. He does some more editing, and now it sounds terrifying…
Commentary
It’s a horror film about a sound editor! Anyone who’s ever edited an audiobook or podcast can relate. The audio trickery that Jack uses looks real to me, and I’ve done a lot of that sort of thing. That said, I never had a result like what Jack ended up with.
It looks great, it’s got a full story, and it’s very effective. Definitely worth a six-minute investment of your time!
