A teenager carries an old book into the forest. He casts some form of spell.
We flashback to him getting bullied and beaten up. An old woman tells him, “When I’m gone, she will look after you, protect you just as I’ve always done. Just as she did for me…”
So, he finds the marked tree in the forest and finishes his spell just as the bully catches up with him. Something gets the bully.
Commentary
It’s not much of a story, but the creature effects are exceptionally good. It’s worth a watch just to see the monster.
