Synopsis

The security has pyrophobia; he’s afraid of fire. The old security guard gives him a quick tour. There was a recent sinkhole on the site, and they lost a worker; they haven’t found his body yet. His job is simply to keep people out of the fenced-in area. “If ya need anything, don’t call me,” jokes the old man. The guard finds a cigarette lighter in the dirt.

The guard hears a scream that night and investigates. It’s a naked man who suddenly becomes covered in blood. The man changes into some kind of black demon with long claws. The thing then kills a homeless man.

It corners the guard in the guardhouse. Can the guard overcome his fear to defeat the beast?

Commentary

The creature is really neat. This thing could carry a full-length horror film easily. The interplay between the two guards is funny and realistic. The story itself is short and simply, but explains everything pretty well. I definitely liked this one.
