Synopsis

A woman wakes up in the middle of the night and sees a child standing in the corner of her room. When she turns on the light, he’s gone. She’s a home nurse, and her doctor-boss is concerned about her abilities after some kind of trauma. He sends her to her new assignment and tells her to take more long walks to clear her head. She lives on an isolated island with her ailing patient, who doesn’t have long to live.

The patient explains that she woke up last night and saw a little boy outside the window. The nurse, whose name is Andrea, has a flashback to when he own son died after falling on some rocks.

Andrea hears more noises that night coming from a wardrobe, but there’s nothing inside but her cat. That night, she sees some nightmarish things… but is it a nightmare? And better yet, why are these thing happening to her?

Commentary

This is really good. It’s a “longish” short, but it’s well worth the time. There is subtitled dialog, but it’s not excessive. We still don’t really know why this all came about (yeah, we know what caused it, by why?), and the ending is a little too open-ended and vague, but it was really well made.
