Synopsis

We open in a park while the mime “reads a book.” We soon see that as the mime does mime-y things with his hands, that things aren’t as imaginary as they should be. A litterer finds out the hard way not to do that. A group of university freshmen comes marching over; they’re in some kind of hazing activity and are being yelled at by a bully. The bullies notice the mime sitting alone nearby, and of course, they just can’t leave him alone.

Things go badly for them.

Commentary

This was made in the Netherlands, and does not have built-in subtitles. I had to manually turn on subtitles on YouTube, but they are there. You can pretty much tell what’s going on without them, but they do help.

Who knew a mime could be terrifying? The special effects and makeup effects here are top-rate, and like most good shorts, it left me wanting more.
