The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016) Review

1 hour, 26 minutes

We start out at a murder scene; there are numerous bodies. While investigating, they find an unidentified, naked, half-buried body in the basement. We switch scenes to a father and son coroner team. The sheriff brings in the unidentified body. The autopsy begin.

Her eyes are white, her wrists and ankles have been broken, and her tongue was cut out. They cut her open, and there are some very unusual things about her insides as well. Some things that are just… impossible. Before they can investigate further, strange things start happening around the morgue.

It’s creepy an interesting even before the weird stuff starts. The acting and the soundtrack a perfect. The setting is dark and interesting; it’s yet another morgue. The autopsy was interesting, as they learned more and more about what she went through.

We watched “The Possession of Hannah Grace” a few weeks ago, and we liked it a lot, but this was actually better. I also like how once the craziness begins, the son and the old father, who’s seen everything, don’t really question it much, they just accept that it’s happening. Usually, there’s a bunch of denial going with the characters.
