Synopsis
A woman walks home in the dark, and someone grabs her from behind.
Next morning, Norm takes out the garbage. His neighbor, Tom, watches him take all that trash to the curb. Tom doesn’t have very much to do all day. He listens to the news explain how people and animals keep disappearing from around the neighborhood.
His imagination runs away with him, and he starts imagining that Norm is a murderer. Is it real, or is it all that pot he smoked talking?
Tom sneaks over to Norm’s house that night, when Norm leaves. Tom finds more than he was expecting…
Commentary
It’s kinda like a low-budget version of “The Burbs.” Norm isn’t the biggest bad on the block, but the specifics are pretty entertaining. This is one of the funnier kidnapping and murder shorts— The final line really explains it all.
